The Message of the Exhibition
The exhibition „Share your life“ presents my paintings from the period of past five years. I concentrate on one of the aspects I perceive that is, on the topic of human behavior in today´s post-internet era, the times of social networks, virtual connections and portable devices. They all became parts of our everyday life. We share everything about us and we also receive all types of information. Oftentimes, we can´t distinguish between the ones we need and the ones we don´t. Modern technologies have been developed in order to make our life and the communication among us easier. For sure, they bring many benefits to our progress, but my focus is on the darker side of the issue. I try to point to the perversity of human nature which can (without any emotions) find amusement in brutality which man commits on other human beings and one´s surroundings. Man´s social legitimization, mockery and indifference to this type of behavior.
Posolstvo výstavy
Na výstave “Share your life” (Zdieľaj svoj život), by som chcel odprezentovať moju maliarsku tvorbu za posledných päť rokov. Sústredím sa na jeden z aspektov z môjho vnímania a to na tému chovania sa človeka v dnešnej post-internetovej ére, dobe sociálnych sietí, virtuálnych spojení, prenosných zariadení. Stali sa našou každodennou súčasťou. Zdielame o sebe všetko a tak isto príjmame všetky informácie. Často nevieme rozlíšiť, ktoré z nich sú pre nás potrebné a ktoré nie. Moderné technológie boli vyvinuté preto, aby nám uľahčovali život a komunikáciu medzi sebou. Určite to má veľké pozitíva v našom napredovaní, ale ja sa zameriavam na tú temnejšiu stránku veci. Snažím sa poukázať na zvrátenosť ľudskej povahy, ako sa dokáže (bezemočne) zabávať na brutalite, ktorú človek pácha na svojom druhu a okoliu. Jeho spoločenskú legitimizáciu, zosmiešňovanie a ľahostajnosť k takémuto správaniu.
